Among a huge number of pharmacological agents that solve problems with intestinal infections, Ftalazol is one of the most common and at the same time inexpensive drugs. This drug acts as an effective antimicrobial agent. He belongs to the group of sulfonamides. The drug has a harmful effect on bacteria that cause infections in the digestive system. In addition, Ftalazol has an anti-inflammatory effect, and also promotes the production of glucocorticosteroids - natural hormones that inhibit the inflammatory processes in the body.
Description of the drug Ftalazol
The active substance of phthalazole is phthalylsulfatiazole, auxiliaries are talc, calcium stearate and potato starch. Phthalazol is produced only in tablets for ingestion of 10, more rarely 20 pieces in the plate. Tablets are flat white with a risk and a facet.
After taking the medication is not practically absorbed through the blood, and "work" begins only after hitting the intestine. Most of the active substance is retained in the digestive tract, accumulates and has an effective antimicrobial effect.
