Nut is known by many names - turkish and mutton peas, shish peas. Historically and geographically, it turned out that chickpeas were used, mainly in the eastern cuisine, but nowadays the benefits of this type of beans attracted the attention of the culinary specialists of many countries of the world. The protein content of chickpeas is slightly lower than in other legumes (20-26%), but these are special proteins, which are no longer present in any representative of this class of plants. They are also easy to digest. Also, chickpeas have the highest percentage of amino acids among legumes.

How useful is the chickpea for women?

First of all, it is worth saying that chickpea is useful for pregnant women and women breastfeeding, as the high iron content in this product prevents the appearance of anemia.

Chickpeas are recommended with a vegetarian diet and during fasting - it, thanks to its composition, can almost completely replace meat. Based on chickpeas at home, you can even prepare a slimming remedy that helps not only to get rid of excess weight, but also affects the skin condition perfectly, since it contains all the necessary elements to maintain its elasticity. For this, chickpea is poured with water for 10-12 hours, and then passed through a meat grinder. The resulting mass should be consumed in small portions throughout the day.

In addition to its usefulness, the chickpeas are also very tasty. It has a slight nutty aftertaste, which is well manifested in combination with meat. Young peas chickpeas can be eaten even raw, but after that it is not recommended to drink water, since this combination leads to increased gas production.
