Zoo (Kristiansand)

One of the main attractions of the Norwegian city of Kristiansand is the local zoo - by the way, the largest in Norway . Occupying a vast territory - more than 60 hectares - it consists of two parts: the zoo itself and the amusement park, where children and adults come for an exciting pastime.

Animal Park

The fauna, which is found in the Kristiansand Zoo, has 140 species.

Visitors like that animals are not placed in cages, but in open cages. Even in captivity, but here they feel much freer, and the habitat of each species is as close to natural as possible. Even behind the huge ferocious lions can be seen from a close distance thanks to the thick protective glasses located in the places where the aviary approaches the hiking trail.

So, on the territory of the zoo in Kristiansand you can see:

All of them are distributed in different zones: they are African predators and other exotic animals, representatives of the Scandinavian fauna, "rain forest" with reptiles. And cheerful monkeys jumping on branches over the heads of tourists over the entire territory of the zoo.
