Arlesheim Cathedral


The main attraction, the dignity of Arlesheim in Switzerland is the Arlesheim Cathedral. Arlesheim Cathedral appeared in Basel in 1681. At that time, it carried a very important role in the lives of local residents. Around it, houses of consuls and rulers were instantly built. In 1792, during the French Revolution, the cathedral was sold at auction, after which it served as a storeroom and stable. In 1828 the cathedral was again consecrated and carried an original role.

Inside the Arlesheim Cathedral you can admire the amazing architecture and decor of the 17th century. Till now in its hall there are majestic columns, walls decorate mosaics, and on a ceiling the magnificent picture of All Saints is represented.

The entrance to the Arlesheim Cathedral is absolutely free. At will, you can make a donation to maintain the temple. You can visit it any day of the week from 8.00 to 16.00.

You can reach Arlesheim Cathedral by public transport with the help of bus number 64 and get off at the stop with the same name. In a rented car you will need to move along the street Finkeleverg.
