If you do not know what makes matzah, then nothing surprising is waiting for you - it's a simple bread made of wheat flour and water, with a little oil and salt, which is baked at high temperatures. But the recipes of what can be cooked from matzah, are much more fascinating. In addition to standard sandwiches, traditional Jewish bread is suitable for creating hot main courses, snacks and even desserts, and we decided to dedicate this article to their preparation.

Lasagna from matzah

Of course, there is no mention of any classic dish in the next recipe, rather, we will prepare a pie from matzo with meat, an abundance of cheese and sauce, which, however, does not make it worse than traditional Italian food.

The dish is really amazingly fast. Having installed the oven for heating up to 180 degrees, we cover the bottom of the dish form with a small amount of bolognese (you can replace it with the usual tomato sauce), put the first sheet of matzo on top and lubricate it with the same sauce. We rub ricotta or cottage cheese with eggs and a pinch of salt, lay out another sheet of matzo and grease it with a curd mixture. Repeat the layers until the matzo comes to an end, as a final layer - curd sauce, and on top a layer of grated cheese. 40 minutes in the oven and express lasagna ready.

Snack cake from matzo

Beat curd with milk and cheese, adding greens and chopped garlic. Lubricate the cream matzo leaves, alternately laying on them slices of cucumber, then fish. We leave the prepared snack in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours before serving.

Sweets from Matzah - chocolate cake

To whipped cream, add almond flavor and sugar powder, then whisk them again. Half of the cream is carefully combined with half the mixture from the melted chocolate and coffee. The remaining chocolate cover the surface of each of the matzo leaves. We begin to alternate layers of white and chocolate cream, alternately laying them on sheets of matzo. Chocolate cream is sprinkled with finely chopped almonds. We stack the bread layers on each other and decorate the cake from matzo without baking at our discretion.
