Cultivation of beetroot "Cylindra"

Under the beet, you need to select a site where cucumbers, cabbage, onions or carrots were grown before. It must be sunny, otherwise it will be pale. You can start seeding after the soil has warmed up to + 6 ° С. Approximately this happens in mid-May.

For the beet, we prepare a bed about 1 m wide. Then we make grooves and water through it every 25 cm. In them we lay seeds, dipping them 3-4 cm, and then mulch peat.

To get the root vegetables of the required size, the beets must be decanted 2 times. The first time immediately after the appearance of sprouts, making a distance of 2-3 cm, and then after the formation of 2 real leaves - 10-12 cm. Throughout the growing season, beets should be watered once a week, regularly break through the weeds and loosen the soil around it .

Harvesting beet "Cylinder" is held in September - early October.
