Cactus of the Actinium

Nature is able to create the most amazing places that a man could not even imagine. One such is the cactus of the Actinium in Barbados (Animal Flower Cave). This wonderful place is located near the coast near the town of Checker Hall.

What is interesting about the cave?

How did this miracle come about? In all "guilty" the Caribbean Sea. It floods small caves with water, as a result of this, sea anemones or sea anemones are formed on their bottom, which are quite large corals.

As a rule, anemones live here in fairly small lakes of sea water, but sometimes ponds are found deeper. And this means that on an excursion to the actinius cave in Barbados you will have an opportunity to swim in warm sea water.

Another local landmark is a coral staircase that leads to the cave. It was built in the early XX century. It is also interesting that the cave itself is very bright. And the secret here is that copper and iron are contained in its walls in large quantities, which, as we know, oxidize, change color. Therefore, it seems to us that someone was spraying orange paint on the walls of the cave.

How to get to the cave?

Getting to the actinius cave in Barbados is the easiest way by car on Hwy 1c and Animal Flower Cave Road.
