- The next measurement is the required width of the opening. From the initial width of the opening we take the width of the door together with the door frame. - Further, from above and from below with the help of screws we fix the rigid rack-mount profiles, having laid them along the width of the opening.
- In them we insert and fix the vertical profiles, on which we will sew drywall.
- It is fixed to wide profiles with the help of a mounting glue or gypsum plaster, and then fixed with self-tapping screws, slightly "drowning" them.
- We do this from three sides - on the sides and in the front part.
- It remains only to plaster the structure and insert the door frame with the doors.
How to sew a doorway hypocarton?
Sometimes in the process of repair it turns out that the door where it was, is no longer needed. There is a need to sew it up, that is, close it so that there is not even a hint left of it. Masters-repairmen know how to repair a gypsum cardboard doorway that is unnecessary. To do this, you need to stock up with wide profiles, mineral wool, gypsum cardboard, self-tapping screws and putty.
- First of all, from the top and bottom we plan the fixing of the profiles. In order that they really become strictly vertical, it is necessary to outline the locations of their fastening with a plumb line.
- Next - the case behind the rack-mount profiles. We strengthen them at the top and bottom with the help of self-tapping screws.
- In them we invest and fix the vertical profiles. Ideally, if their width is identical with the thickness of the wall. If not, you will have to fasten the doorway that is thin on both sides.
- The formed emptiness is filled with soundproofing and warming mineral wool.
- It remains only to sew the gap with plasterboard. We attach it to the profiles with screws.
- The final touch is putty filling and preparation of the wall surface for decoration (painting, wallpapering).
