Drawings on coffee

Many of us had to watch the art of coffee painting firsthand at coffee shops. It's always nice to get a cup of fragrant coffee, decorated with intricate designs, but have you ever wondered how these coffee paintings are created? There are many techniques with which you decorate the coffee surface, but in this article we will tell you how to make coffee with a pattern using the main ones.

How to make drawings for coffee?

Historically, the art of frothy coffee mural - latte-art, originated in the expanses of Italy. The first began to paint coffee Capuchin monks (hence the consonant name of coffee drink for painting - cappuccino) back in the XVI century, and thanks to the love of Italians for coffee came to our times. However, the art of latte art has evolved over time, classical drawings in the form of a heart and flower began to border on a whole string of works from all sorts of spices and syrups.

If you want to pamper your guests with a delicious and beautiful drink, then you should definitely figure out how to make a simple but effective drawing on your own coffee, and we will help you with this photo with your master class.

Foam Technology

The first one will consider the basic "latent" technique of latte art, in which only whipped milk will be used. Correctly beaten milk is the basis of a good picture: the milk should not be overheated, so monitor the whipping temperature by attaching the little finger to the bottom of the milk. Start whipping the milk from the bottom as soon as you feel the heat - gently move to the top and whip the foam.

A classic pattern on coffee foam is a flower, even a layman can do.

  1. We begin to pour out the milk, leaning the milkman to the edge of the cup.
  2. Smoothly go to the center of the cup and begin to rock the milkman lightly.
  3. After 4-5 swings you will notice an emerging wave-like pattern.
  4. With the appearance of clear milk turns, gradually move the milkman to the edge of the cup from which you started.
  5. Once you have reached the very edge of the cup, drastically draw a thin line to the opposite edge.
  6. The flower is ready!

Technology etching

Technology etching involves the use of any sharp objects (toothpicks, needles, sticks) for the creation of delicate bends and lines. To learn how to make drawings for coffee in this technique, you can take a photo of the master class below.

  1. Pour the beaten milk in the center of the cup until a white stain appears.
  2. Take the spoon and lay the foam along the edge of the cup. The foam strip should be about 1 cm wide.
  3. Now take the chocolate syrup and draw the inner circle of the milk ring ...
  4. ... and the outer circumference of the milk circle in the center
  5. Using a stick, we conduct 8 lines in a circle, from the center to the periphery.
  6. Similarly, we conduct 8 more lines from the periphery to the center.
  7. Done!

Screen printing technology

So, we have figured out how to draw a drawing on coffee using two basic techniques, however, there is also the third most simple - the stencil technique. The coffee stencil can be bought in the store or made by yourself, for this select a simple drawing, print it, glue it to a piece of thick paper, or cardboard and poke small holes through the contour of the image with a needle or an awl. The next time you want to treat yourself to a nice eye drink, just bring the stencil to the coffee foam and gently sift the cinnamon, black pepper or vanillin through the holes.

To create drawings with glaze, you need to have at least elementary artistic skills, although minimal stripes or a cell on a foamy surface are within the power of every beginning coffee artist.
