Factors of personality development

Factors of personal development are those driving forces that shape a person's personality, making it what it is. Today, scientists identify three main ones: heredity, upbringing and environment. We consider the main factors of development and personality formation in more detail.

Heredity as a factor of personality development

Each of us from birth is endowed with the inclinations of various traits that determine the inclination to this or that kind of activity. It is believed that in this leading role is played by heredity. The genotype, or hereditary stem, consists of a set of independent genes that are materially represented by chromosomes consisting of proteins and DNA. Due to the fact that the gene is able to determine the synthesis of protein, it significantly affects the type of nervous system, the differences in which determine the mental characteristics of a person.

It is worth noting that only in the process of human activities genetic backgrounds take the form of his mental characteristics. This does not happen by itself, but thanks to the efforts and will of man, his diligence and purposefulness. If you want to do something, no factors can prevent you, because hard work allows you to develop even weak incomes. At the same time, inaction, weak-willedness and a frivolous attitude can destroy any talent. That is why, in parallel with heredity, it is also worth considering activity as a factor in the development of the personality. Without real efforts, it is impossible to achieve heights in any area.

Factors of personality development: environment

The environment is a combination of circumstances and conditions for the birth and growth of a person. The concept of the environment includes its three types: geographical, domestic and social.

The environment has a very big impact on the person. The newborn watches the parents, copies their behavior, adopts manners, and thus participates in the society. However, if the child by circumstances has grown up among animals, returning to the human environment, it will be difficult for him to master the gait, manners, and thinking. They remain forever at the level of childhood, preserving a primitive model of thinking. That is why communication as a factor of personal development is very important and largely determines the fate of a person.

It is important to understand that the source of development is not all that a person sees from an early age, but those specific objects of reality that he assimilates. It is due to the peculiarities of the psyche that the incoming information is filtered. Each person receives an individual development situation, since the main thing in this case is not the factors themselves, but the attitude to them of the person himself. A simple example: some boys who have divorced parents in their adult lives do not believe in marriage and do not want to start a family, and if they start, it soon collapses; others firmly decide that they marry once and for life their children have never experienced what they experienced.

Education, as a factor in the development of personality

Education - a process aimed at the activation of self-control, self-development and self-regulation of a person. A man is the creator of himself, and if a desire for self-improvement inculcated from childhood is added to the development program, which was inherent from birth, a person can achieve any heights. Ideally, education should take place according to a certain scientifically grounded program, which wise parents can learn from specialized literature.

Education allows you to design the development of the personality , raise it to new levels of development, due to which it relates to the determining factors of development.
