Hydrotracking in the roof construction is necessary to protect against moisture from the outside, and the vapor barrier will protect the roof from the inside. How to insulate the roof in a private house?
For work we need:
- Hydrotreater protective film;
- building stapler;
- building scotch tape or mounting tape;
- clamping rails with a thickness of 15 - 25 mm;
- bars measuring 50 x 50 mm;
- roofing;
- mineral wool in rolls;
- vapor barrier membrane.
- At the top of the rafters overlap is covered with a hydroretracking film and attached to the wood with a construction stapler. The rafters must be completely covered with a membrane.
- Joints between membranes are glued with building tape or mounting tape.
- Along the rafters we attach the pressure rails, which will firmly hold the membrane. And on top of them we mount a horizontal control bar with the help of bars.
- Now you can mount the roofing.
- As practice shows, to insulate the roof of the house from the inside, it is necessary, first of all, to lay a layer of thermal insulation between the rafters. If the step between rafters is about 600 mm, then the roll of mineral wool must be cut into two halves. If the step is non-standard, then cut the material to the desired size.
- Densely we lay a thermal protection between rafters. Cracks and gaps should not be.
- In order to protect the roof of the house from moisture from the inside, it is necessary to lay a vapor barrier membrane on the inside of the rafters, attaching it with a stapler and gluing the joints with adhesive tape.
- On top of the vapor barrier we attach bars that will create a gap between the inner lining and the vapor barrier membrane, which will help to remove excess moisture.
- It remains to install the inner lining in the form of lining , plywood or sheets of plasterboard, and the insulated roof will be ready for us.
