Mecca for lovers of mountain peaks

"International mountain museum" - it was under this name that a unique site was opened in Nepal in 2004. The territory of 5 hectares covers all aspects of mountaineering, down to history. The opening of the museum was timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the conquest of Everest, the highest peak of our planet. The budget of this grandiose project amounted to more than 1 million 200 thousand dollars, formed due to the charitable contributions of mountaineering clubs and the government of Nepal.

Outwardly, the museum is made in the form of a modern massive building of glass and concrete, with sharp spiers of roofs, something reminiscent of mountain peaks. The interior interior also differs with some severity, as if recalling that mountaineering is a rather harsh infatuation that does not tolerate a girlish and requires enormous effort.
