The year of the Rooster is approaching , which means that soon there will be a lot of goods on the shelves featuring this symbol. It would seem - there is nothing easier than just buying a ready postcard, but you want to stand out from the mass of monotonous souvenirs and present something really original.
I propose to learn how to make scrapbooking cards for congratulating friends on the New Year 2017 - the Year of the Rooster.
New Year card with a Rooster - a master class
Necessary tools and materials:
- color cardboard, scrapbooking paper, beer cardboard, watercolor paper;
- ornaments from burlap, twine, feather cutting;
- inscription, a picture with a rooster, brads;
- paints, a brush, a glass with water, a stamp pad;
- ruler, mock knife, scissors, glue;
- sewing machine.
Performance:
- First of all we will prepare a card for congratulations and decorative feathers - we wet the paper with a wet brush and paint the elements with watercolor paints.
- To the basis we glue the string (you can use 2 pieces), we glue the paper on top and stitch it.
- With the help of a stamp pad we shade the edges of the card for congratulation, paste it to the paper and sew it.
- Feathers are also shaded with ink.
- A picture and an inscription are pasted on a cardboard and we cut out, having receded 2-3 mm from edge.
- On the front side of the postcard we make a layout, and then we sew decorations from burlap and inscription, which we supplement with the help of broads.
- Under the image of the cock we spread the feathers and paste them to the base.
- To the bottom of the picture we glue the beer cardboard, giving the volume, and stitch it.
- The last point is sticking paper with a card for wishes to the inside of the postcard.
