The name of the sights speaks for itself, it is not difficult to guess that its exhibits are different cars. But the museum "Autoworld" - is not only interesting auto models, but also the history of their creation, the names of great designers, important events in the life of the state and much more.
Annually visitors of the museum are about 300 thousand people, eager to see the beauty, luxury and magnificence of the automobile industry. Mostly it's men and boys, but quite often in the halls you can meet girls who will have something to see.
The Avtomir Museum in Brussels has a permanent exhibition, which consists of 350 ancient vehicles and is divided into theme halls: sports cars, eco-cars, small cars, public transport, cars owned by famous people and motorcycles. The founder of "Avtomir" is Gislen Mai, who collected a small collection of cars and gave it to the city authorities. The author's case is still alive and brings considerable income to the state treasury.
Undoubtedly, the entire collection collected here is priceless, but the following copies deserve special attention:
- Bentley in 1928;
- Bugatti 1930 of release;
- Rolls-Royse 1930 of release;
- Messerschmitt 1955 release, which has three wheels;
- cars produced in the period of XIX - XX centuries;
- cars owned by Theodore Roosevelt and John Kennedy.
How to get there?
You can get to the museum by car rented . In addition, buses No. 22, 27, 80 and tram No. 81 stop near the building. If desired, you can board one of the subway cars on line 1 or 5 and follow the Merode station.
The Avtomir Museum in Brussels operates daily from April to October - from 10:00 to 18:00 hours, in the remaining months - from 10:00 to 17:00. All visits are paid. Admission fee for adults costs 8 €, for students - 5 €, for pensioners - 6 € (with the appropriate document), children aged 6 to 12 years - 4.5 €, visitors under 6 years - free of charge. On the territory of the museum there is a souvenir shop where you can buy smaller models of cars represented in the collection.
