Therefore, the craving for dolls remains with lovely ladies throughout life, only its manifestations are somewhat different: some women are included in the games of their daughters, others collect collections of dolls and puppet attributes, and others create beautiful toys with their own hands. We offer to make a textile doll tilde - a princess on a pea.
The tilde doll is a princess on a pea - a kind of famous and popular in all European countries stylized doll, repeating the general proportions and features of a real human figure. The tilde's images are different: they can be fabulous, biblical, literary heroines, real people and collective images. We will tell you how to sew a tilde-princess on a pea.
You will need:
- thin cotton fabric of corporal (light beige) color for the body of the doll;
- fabric for a pastel shirt;
- cloth for doll mattresses and pillows of several colors with different patterns;
- thin light fabric for the canopy;
- lace for decoration;
- holofayber for stuffing the trunk of dolls, mattresses and pads;
- light acrylic for hairstyles, needle for felting;
- thread for embroidery of the face (black, pink);
- Sewing accessories (scissors, needles, threads, a simple pencil, paper for a pattern, a sewing machine, a paint tape);
- a cot on high legs.

- Let's start the process of making a tilde-princess pattern on a pea from the construction on paper.
- Pattern we translate on a fabric, accurately we cut out details, having made an allowance on seams approximately 4 - 5 mm. The legs and arms are twisted with a pencil, the body of the tilde is densely packed with holofeyber. Be sure to consider that the knee area should be highlighted. To do this, we stuff the lower part of the limb, then insert the needle and continue the padding, leaving the last 3 cm unfilled (to allow the body to change its position when sitting). We sew the parts of the body: the body and legs with the seam "forward the needle", the hands with a hidden seam.
- Hair tilde-princess on a pea is cut from acrylic. We fasten them in the middle with a paint tape, we make the middle seam on the machine straight on the surface of the scotch tape. Then we remove the scotch tape. We attach the hair to the head with a felting needle. We put hair in a hairdress.
- We hint and embroider the little face of the princess. We sew a shirt, canopy, mattresses and pillows. Bedding is stuffed with holofiber. Dress up the doll. On the bed, ready or made by own hands we spread numerous mattresses and pillows. And, most importantly, a pea, in which quality one can use an ordinary grain of dried peas.
