Piercing - a modern method of decorating the face and body, as well as one of the ways of self-expression. Most often, women make piercings of the ears, eyebrows, lips, nose, tongue, navel, genitals. Below, we will briefly review some types of piercing on the body and face.
Types of piercing lips (mouth)
Puncture of the lips is considered one of the relatively safe, simple and painless types of piercing. The main varieties of such piercings are the following:
- vertical labret - the puncture is performed perpendicularly to the lip, more often the lower, strictly centered or lateral;
- the horizontal labret is a more complex and less demanded puncture performed parallel to the lip;
- jellyfish - piercing the groove over the upper lip, under the nasal septum, using, as a rule, an ornaments-ball;
- Monroe - piercing above the upper lip on the left side, imitating the birthmark of Merlin Monroe;
- Madonna - performing a similar puncture, but already on the right side of the mouth;
- paired Monroe or Madonna piercing the skin above the lip in the form of flies left and right;
- a snake's bite is a piercing similar to the previous one, but performed on both sides under the lower lip;
- dahlia - quite an extreme piercing, simulating mouth rupture on both sides in the area of the labial adhesions (corners of the mouth);
- smile - a puncture of the bridle from the inside of the upper lip, in which the decoration is visible only when the person smiles.
Types of Nose Piercing
This is a fairly popular type of piercing, especially in the youth environment. It is divided into the following types:
- piercing of the nostrils - a single puncture or piercing one or both nostrils in different places with the installation of carnations, rings or rods;
- bridge - horizontal or vertical puncture of the skin folds in the nose bridge or between the eyebrows with the use of an accessory rod;
- septril - piercing the underside of the tip of the nose without affecting the cartilage;
- septum - a puncture of a cartilaginous septum between nostrils;
- piercing of the tip of the nose - vertical or horizontal piercing of soft tissues of the tip of the nose with the use of small bars;
- Austin Bar - a puncture of the horizontal region above the tip of the nose, without affecting the cartilaginous tissue;
- piercing of the nasal septum - a complex puncture of one nostril, the upper part of the nasal septum and the second nostril.
Types of navel piercing
Belly button piercing today is chosen by many women to emphasize their sexual attractiveness. It is divided into the following types:
- vertical upper - a puncture of the skin folds over the navel;
- vertical lower - piercing the folds of the skin under the navel, often performed together vertical upper piercing;
- horizontal - a puncture from the side of the navel;
- a real piercing - piercing a convex navel (a scar tissue of the navel);
- Multipyrasing is a combination of several types of piercing.
