A simple salad recipe with a cod liver

Canned cod liver is preserved in oil, it is most often used for making different salads, less often for other dishes. When choosing a canned cod liver, it is better to prefer the products of famous large companies.

Salads with cod liver are better to prepare simple, not using a large number of ingredients (for the main taste to be sufficiently expressed and only supplemented by the tastes of the other ingredients).

Layered cod liver salad with egg, potatoes and green peas

We extract the cod liver from the jar and knead it with a fork. Cut small boiled eggs and mix with the liver. Welded potatoes are added by adding potato puree to the oil left in the can from the cod liver.

We are building a salad. We cut the white part of the stem of the leek in circles and put them on the dish - this will be the substrate. Top spread mushrooms, mixed with mashed potatoes. Spread mayonnaise, and on top a layer of green peas. Once again a layer of mashed potatoes with mushrooms, again with a mayonnaise slip, then sprinkle with grated cheese and, lastly, lay a layer of a mixture of eggs with the liver of cod. We decorate with greens and sprinkle with lemon. We serve this salad for light table wine.

We cut hard-boiled eggs, cod liver and green onions, not too finely. Flesh of avocado fruit is cut into small cubes, cucumbers - slabs. We put everything together in a salad bowl and pour the sauce from a mixture of olive oil with balsamic vinegar and a small amount of mustard. We make greenery. This salad is served well with fruit brandy, schnapps, limoncello, grappa, rakia.

For each of the plates, lay out a serving of rice (it turns out beautifully if you put rice through a special ring). Nearby lay half or quarters of hard-boiled duck eggs. We finish the composition with onion feathers and twigs of greenery. Pour the sauce, composed of a mixture of sesame oil, honey, soy sauce and lime juice flavored with garlic and hot red pepper. This salad is good to serve with sake, rice Shaoxing wine, with fruit wines, with Japanese whiskey or Chinese Maotai vodka.

In the salad, you can include cucumber or tomatoes, but not together. Or you can add the fruit pulp of avocado, or mango.
