Active substance drops. Ophthalmoferon is a recombinant human interferon. In 1 ml of fluid contains not less than 10 thousand units of interferon.
Another active substance, which is part of the drug - dimedrol (diphenhydramine), which in 1 ml of the drug contains 0.001 g.
Excipients are:
- macrogol;
- water for injections;
- sodium chloride;
- hypromellose;
- Trilon B;
- sodium acetate;
- boric acid.
Ophthalmoferon is a clear, colorless liquid in the bottles of droppers. Available in volume 5 and 10 ml.
Pharmacological properties of drops Ophthalmoferon
Despite the fact that the drug is considered primarily an antiviral agent, it also has a weak antimicrobial effect. Thanks to diphenhydramine (more precisely, its analog), the drug has a local anesthetic, anti-edematous, anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory effect. Thanks to interferon, the drug promotes the regeneration of eye tissues, and also destroys viruses and suppresses the spread of bacteria.
Antiviral eye drops Ophthalmoferon have a local effect, relieving inflammation of the eyes due to viruses or bacteria, and also applied after the operation.

Ophthalmoferon rarely causes side effects, but it should be used under the supervision of a doctor, since the following inadequate reactions are possible:
