Of course, everyone would be happy to brag of melons grown on their own site. But not all varieties are suitable for cultivation in our natural conditions. Therefore, do not experiment, it is better to choose varieties that have been grown in our area for many years with great success. One of these varieties is the melon "Kolhoznitsa".

Sort of melon "Kolhoznitsa"

This type of melon from others can be distinguished by its characteristic round shape and smooth skin. The fruits of the "Kolhoznitsa" are not large, but they have a sweet taste and a wonderful aroma. Another advantage of this variety is resistance to sunburn, which leaves a trace only on the skin, without affecting the flesh. The yield of "Kolhoznitsa" is potentially very high, but, of course, everything depends on the weather conditions.

Variety of melon "Pineapple"

Those who "Kolhoznitsa" seems too banal, it is worth planting a sort of melon "Pineapple". Variety "Pineapple" refers to early varieties of melon. Its fruits have a rounded slightly elongated shape, and the peel is covered with a mesh of small cracks. "Pineapple" melon is very fragrant and juicy, but its yield is much higher than that of "Kolhoznitsa" depends on the weather conditions. For example, if the summer turns out to be rainy, then the fruits can simply crack.

Variety of melons "Altai"

Another kind of melon, well adapted to cultivation in Russian conditions is the melon "Altai". It also belongs to the early self-pollinated varieties of melon and is distinguished by a small thickness of peel, sweet taste and strong aroma. The fruits of the "Altai" melon have an oval shape and grow to 1.5 kg.
