It was used even by ancient Egyptians. There is evidence that even the famous Hanging Gardens of Semiramis is nothing more than growing hydroponics. So the new technology today was created thousands of years ago.
Using this technology allows you to maximize the growth and development of plants. Due to the created conditions, the plant spends no effort on anything, except for rapid growth, flowering and obtaining the maximum yield.
Hydroponics: technology
To grow a plant, absolutely simple things are required. The roots receive all the nutrients from the special solution. This method involves growing a plant without the use of land. Instead, horses get everything they need from a solution for hydroponics. And for each period of plant growth there are complex fertilizers. To supply air to the roots use the most ordinary pump for the aquarium. So you will not find more natural products than those grown by the method of hydroponics.
Technology allows to grow a full crop in areas where the soil is very poor and polluted with various poisons and chemicals. In areas where the climate does not allow the cultivation of a large volume of harvest, I often use hydroponics. With the help of hydroponics, plants can be grown not only indoors. Grow a crop or flower garden is possible and in the open space. The only difference is that in closed conditions you can grow the crop year-round.
How to make hydroponics?
The easiest way to make hydroponics with your own hands is to cut a two-liter bottle into two pieces across. It is better to use a bottle of dark plastic to avoid the appearance of algae on the roots of plants. At the top of the bottle, make holes 2-4 mm. Do holes in several rows, the more of them, the better. For this volume, two rows are sufficient. The upper row is designed for ventilation, and from the lower row and cork the plant will receive a nutrient solution for hydroponics.
Now you need to insert the upper part with the holes in the bottom. Ideally made installation should meet the following requirement: the cork should be at the bottom of the bottom of the bottle, the walls of the top and bottom of the bottle should be in tight contact with each other.
If the plug does not reach the bottom, part of the solution, which is below the level of the plug, does not enter the top of the unit.
If the walls do not touch each other, the moisture will evaporate too quickly, the solution will have to be topped up too often, its concentration may increase and adversely affect the plant.
In the lower part, pour the solution. In this case, you need to pour so much that the cork and the bottom row are below the liquid level. In the upper part we pour the expanded clay, almost to the very top. Then plants are planted. As the evaporation of the solution must be periodically topped up.
For mass cultivation, a foam sheet can be used. In it are inserted glasses with a plant. The filler is still the same expanded clay. A sheet of foam is placed in a bathroom with a solution. In this case, it is necessary to ensure the aeration of the solution by means of a pump that will enrich the water with oxygen.
Making hydroponics with your own hands does not require a lot of money. In addition, this is a good way to not only engage in an interesting hobby, but turn it into a source of income.
