Again, canned pineapples are of two kinds: rings and pieces. The first is more expensive, the second is cheaper, although the percentage of tender, fragrant pulp is higher in the latter version.

The outer crust should not be in dark spots, choose a fruit that is elastic, but not too hard. Finally, appreciate the leaves. The fresh ripe pineapple leaves are green, dense, not sluggish, they are easily separated from the fruit, if pulled.

How to peel a pineapple?

Pineapple can be cleaned in two ways. You will need a cutting board, a scrap plate, a big knife, a medium-sized knife, perhaps a potato peeler with a sharp tip to remove the eye, or a small knife, or a thin long knife. The pineapple cleaning knife should be sharp and very comfortable, as the fetus's skin is stiff and rough and can be injured if the knife slips.

Pineapple cleaning begins with the separation of the top with leaves and the bottom. If the bottom can be cut very economically, half a centimeter-centimeter thick, then the upper part is removed along the indentation, from which the leaves are visible - not less than one and a half centimeters.

Next, you need to peel the pineapple from the sides, just cutting the crust in a circle. It will be a half-peeled pineapple, resembling a bright yellow barrel with dark specks of "eyes" on the sides.

Let's retreat about 5 millimeters - the width of the second notch is determined by the size of the eyes - and again we will conduct with a knife, now at an angle, to take out a strip with "eyes".

The second way explains how to peel the pineapple and keep the maximum juice and pulp. To do this, you will need a potato peeler or a small knife with a thin tip. We take the fruit in the left hand and carefully remove all the "eyes", as when cleaning potatoes.
