Master class of plastic bottles

As you know, plastic bottles are a synthetic material, the utilization of which is a big problem for the environment. But what if you try to use the bottles again, this time as a raw material for decorative products?

This is a great idea, because you can make a lot of interesting things from this material. Among them, the most popular are caskets and pencil cases, decorative vases and flowers, chairs and ottomans, as well as figures of all kinds of animals for decorating the yard, garden or garden. And the easiest product from this waste material is a pencil stand: even children can cope with this work. So, we learn how to turn ordinary plastic into a useful home-made product!

Master-class "Making a pencil case made of plastic bottles"

  1. First we will prepare the tools: a construction knife and scissors, a marker and glue. We will also need a sheet of cardboard and a nice color fabric. And, of course, the most important thing - plastic bottles in the number of several pieces.
  2. In order to make a stand for pencils and pens from a plastic bottle, it is necessary to carefully cut off bottles of different shapes and sizes to a height of approximately 10 cm. One or two containers will be made even lower - they will serve as erasers, paper clips and other small office supplies.
  3. Now gently wrap each bottle with a cloth and fix it with glue. Since the usual PVA glue will not stick to the plastic, we will try to glue together the edges of the fabric into which the plastic glass was previously "dressed". If a child is making a pencil, perhaps at this stage he will need the help of adults.
  4. The base of the stand will serve as cardboard. Cut out the bottom of the round, oval or other shape, circling the bottom of each of the bottles for this. Then glue the cardboard to the bottom of the fabric and glue all three (or the amount that you got) the pieces together. Alternatively, you can first glue all the elements, and then make one common cardboard bottom for the pencil. The work is done!

The handmade of plastic bottles, which will be produced after the execution of this master class, may well serve as a decoration for the schoolboy's work table. Let it be the first in a series of useful things made by yourself!
