The museum of cars in Andorra is one of the most entertaining places for pastime both for connoisseurs and simply fans of retro cars. The collection of this museum has collected the rarest and most diverse models of cars and is considered, although not very large, but one of the most valuable in all of Europe.
Museum collection of vehicles
The museum was created by private collectors and enthusiasts of the country. Their project was supported and fully funded by the government of Andorra. The main mission of the museum is to show the evolution of vehicles in the world from the time of origin and until the 70s of the 20th century. Having got into the world of cars, you will follow the natural development of technologies, their embodiment in the automotive industry, as well as experience the evolution of aesthetics and human taste.
The collection begins in the Andorran car museum from the rarest and most honorable exhibit - the 1885 Pinet steam engine, followed by all the rest - about 100 rare car brands. They are presented in excellent form, as if they just left the assembly line, and are located on four floors of the museum. The fifth floor is reserved for a brilliant collection of motorcycles and bicycles, which is no less interesting than a collection of cars.
Also in the museum you will see illustrations, diagrams, promotional materials, car parts and accessories, miniatures of retro cars. You can get acquainted with the internal structure of vehicles.
When and how to get to the museum?
The Automobile Museum is in the town of Encamp . It is open for both free visits and excursions, which can be conducted in Spanish, Catalan and French - according to the choice of the group.
The ticket costs € 5, for groups of 10 or more people € 2.5 per each.
The museum is open from 10.00 to 18.00 every day. Monday and Sunday are the days off. In the ski season (from December to April) it works from 10.00 to 13.00 and from 15.00 to 20.00.
