The dose of the drug is calculated in terms of lipase and is determined by the doctor individually, depending on the age of the child and the degree of weakening of the functions of the pancreas. The maximum daily dose for children under the age of 18 months is 50,000 units, for children over 18 months, a dose of up to 100,000 units is permissible.
In the treatment of cystic fibrosis in children, the dose of pancreatin is given taking into account the number of enzymes necessary for adequate digestion of fats entering the body with food.
