One of them, with tomatoes, basil and cheese in the colors of the Italian flag (white, red, green) was so popular with the queen that Margarita of Savoy wrote a thank-you letter to the chef. And the pizza itself has since been called Margarita.

Dough for the traditional Italian pizza is prepared in a certain way, not rolling on the table to the desired thickness, but throwing up and untwisting in the air. It is believed that this is what allows the test to be soft, not brittle, but at the same time, with a crispy crust.

Since we are not competing for the title of the best Italian pizza jolly, you can buy the dough in the store or knead the usual yeast dough yourself. To do this, dissolve the yeast in warm water, gradually add the egg, butter, flour, salt and sugar, mix.

To make pizza with shrimps according to our recipe, 250 grams of dough is required. It should be rolled into a layer about 5 mm thick. Put on a baking tray and bake in the oven for 10 minutes at 180-200 ° C.

Pizza filling with shrimps

The onion is finely chopped and fried over medium heat in olive oil until golden. Tomatoes are washed, and in a blender turn into tomato paste. Add basil and green onions, salt and spices. Add the resulting mixture to the fried onion and simmer for 8-10 minutes.

Boil the shrimp and clean. Hard cheese finely grate, instead of Parmesan you can use any other hard cheese, or combine several varieties. Soft cheese, we have it Mozzarella, cut into thin plates. The prepared pizza base should be spread evenly with the resulting tomato mass. Top with pieces of soft cheese and shrimp, sprinkle with hard cheese and bake in the oven for 10 minutes at 220 ° C.
