The Gudwangen Caves

One of the unique sights of Norway are the caves of Gudvangen. For lovers of all the unusual and fabulous it is recommended to look into the Nerejfjord gorge, to the village of Gudvangen. Here is the white mountain Anorthosite, in which are located the famous cave labyrinths.

What are the attractive caves of Gudvangen?

Caves in the mountain were formed artificially and became a visited place after the development of a white anorthosite stone. This is the largest deposit in the world. It is a stone of plutonic origin, also found on the moon, used for construction and decorative purposes. But not stone - the main advantage of caves.

Thanks to the white color of the walls and ceiling inside the cave, it was possible to create amazing light shows. Certainly placed illumination, which has different shades, gives charms and hollows a fascinating appeal and mystery. Thoughtfully placed figurines of trolls lead to thoughts of a fabulous dungeon.

The water pouring from the ceiling onto the glowing stone glowed in green, sounds dazzling in silence, reflected off the walls by a bizarre melody. You can relax here in the bar-restaurant, sitting down on a bench covered with deerskin.
