Annoyance

Annoyance and irritability are a psychic reaction that occurs when a person experiences traumatic experiences. The feeling of vexation usually visits a person at the time of failure, problems, obstacles and frustration. Every person sooner or later comes across these feelings, and some experience them easier, and some - more difficult. What does annoyance mean? This feeling is associated with an emotion of frustration, irritation and experience.

Annoyance: the meaning

Psychologists consider the annoyance from two points of view. Based on the first, it is a pathological reaction or a feature of the human psyche. On the other hand, it is only a response to an external stimulus.

That is, if you delve into the first point of view, then annoyance or irritability will not match the external irritant in quantity or quality. Such a reaction can be regarded as a pathology, that is, psychosis. Currently, there are often isolated types of annoyance and irritability, and according to scientists, in most of them a psychogenic type of response is clearly traced.

Annoyance is inherently emotion, which means, like all other emotions, it depends on circumstances and can not arise by itself, but requires some prerequisites. Such a strong emotional experience requires both external and internal factors that precede its emergence. And it does not necessarily affect some principles: annoyance and irritability can be caused even by the repetitive action of another person (tapping fingers, etc.). Moreover, even if a group of people are annoyed by one and the same thing, it is only a matter of the coincidence of their internal personal attitudes, but not of the existence of a certain stimulus acting at all.

It is also characteristic that annoyance arises in the process of combining traces of pathopsychic exposure and communication with the subsequent stimulus. This is an important part of the neuro-psychic process, regardless of the degree of its complexity. It is with this feature that such a property of annoyance and irritation is associated, as the ability to accumulate - when one after another several related or unrelated factors affect a person for some time. Often earlier experiences are layered on the latter, later, and the expression of vexation from this becomes large and crushing.
