Apricot juice

Apricot is a very tasty and extremely useful fruit, it contains various useful substances: carotenoids, vitamins, microelements, potassium and iron compounds, natural fructose. The use of apricots improves hematopoiesis and liver function, as well as digestive, cardiovascular and excretory systems of the human body.

In a season it is possible to prepare tasty apricot juice at home - it, certainly, will be pleasant both to children, and adults.

Rinsed ripe apricots we will disassemble into halves, we shall remove the rests of pedicels and ossicles. With the help of a blender or combine we bring it to a homogeneous state. And everything, you can drink. The use of such apricot juice is unquestionable, since the flesh of the apricot, among other things, contains useful vegetable fibers. Do not spoil the juice with sugar, apricot is sweet enough by itself.

Bone apricots can be broken, remove the nucleoli and calcine in a dry frying pan. With apricot juice - very harmonious. Children who observe the process and are involved in it will be delighted.

To get apricot juice without pulp (for example, you need it for cocktails) put the sieve on a bowl and pour the juice into it (it is better to slightly cool or the sieve should be metallic). Gently help the juice drain with a spatula. If you want a greater degree of purity - strain the juice through a filter of pure gauze, folded in several layers.

To prepare apple-apricot juice, mix apple juice with apricot in the desired proportion. Juices can be as with a pulp, and without it, already strained. Once you have received fresh apple juice, immediately add lemon juice to it, so that it does not darken.

Apricot juice with or without pulp, as well as apple-apricot juice, can be rolled for the winter, however, it will benefit from it, since some useful substances are destroyed by heat treatment.

Freshly obtained juice (with or without pulp) with lemon juice is brought to a boil in a clean enamel saucepan (sugar can be added). We reduce the heat and boil with constant stirring for 3-5 minutes. Fill in sterilized jars and roll them with sterilized lids. We turn the jars and cover with an old blanket until it cools down completely.

In winter, such preparations, of course, will make everyone happy and help avoid beriberi. We store cans in a dry room at plus temperature (on a glassed verandah or balcony, in a pantry).
