Chryps in children

What kind of breathing does a healthy child have?

The breathing of a healthy child sounds evenly and smoothly throughout the inhalation, and at first the exhalation subsides. If you attach your ear to the baby's chest, you will hear a melody of children's bronchi. The appearance of a sharper timbre characteristic of hard breathing is an alarming signal.

What are rattles?

About the respiratory infection is evidence of wheezing in the lungs of a child, similar to a whistle. At the same time, the exhalation is difficult, and the baby is hard to fall asleep. In this scenario, pneumonia, bronchitis and bronchial asthma are not excluded. To make a diagnosis, you need to see a doctor immediately.

Especially do not hesitate, if wheezy dry, buzzing or whistling, different in timbre. Their cause may be a narrowing of the airways due to spasm, swelling of the mucous membrane and the production of viscous mucus. If it is confirmed that the bronchi are clogged with mucus, you will be prescribed thinner mucolytics.

When mucus in the airway becomes liquid, wet rales appear. Similarly, when air passes through liquid phlegm, you can hear the noise of bursting vesicles. Observe with the doctor until such rattles completely disappear.

In the phonendoscope you can hear how intense the wheezing in the child. Sometimes they can even be heard from a distance. The doctor is able to diagnose the sound of wheezing.

The wheezing in the child - what to treat?

If the baby has wheezing, what should I do? Of course, call a doctor who will prescribe the treatment.

Often used even folk remedies for the treatment of wheezing.

  1. Effective tincture of the leaves of plantain, mother-and-stepmother, fragrant peppermint, althea root and licorice naked. All these herbs are used in a proportion of 5: 3: 4: 4: 2. A tablespoon of this collection is poured in 200 ml of boiled cold water and left for 2 hours with a tightly closed lid, then boiled for 5-7 minutes on moderate heat, cooled and filtered. The baby is given 2-3 dessert spoons 30 minutes before meals 3-4 times a day.
  2. You can also get rid of cough and wheezing using banana puree? A few bananas should be well kneaded and add a little water, honey (if the child has no allergy to honey). Give the baby this delicacy throughout the day.

  4. You can brew such a herbal collection: on the floor of a teaspoon of chopped mint or oregano, take 1 tbsp. a spoon of a plantain, mother-and-stepmother or 1 teaspoon of a ledum and 1 teaspoon of licorice. We boil in half a liter of water for 3 minutes, and insist half an hour, wrapped in a towel.

Contact with foreign body in the respiratory tract of the child

Another reason why a child breathes with a wheeze may be getting into the respiratory tract of a foreign body. Small children themselves can shove balls, berries, beads, buttons, etc. into their noses. Often this leads to inflammation, which is manifested by the fact that the baby can hear rhonchuses in the nasopharynx, a stuffy nose, it is difficult to breathe and a liquid with an unpleasant odor from the nose is released.

In no case do you get the foreign body from the nose, you can push it even further. Your actions should be limited to making the baby blow your nose, if you can not get the object out of the nose - it's urgent for the doctor!

The child develops strong wheezing when a foreign body enters the respiratory tract. This can lead to a stoppage of breathing, so if a child's cough with wheezing does not lead to a foreign body popping up - act immediately!

Giving help:

  1. If the baby is conscious, stand behind him and ask him to tilt the body forward at an angle of 30-45 °. Not strongly, but sharply strike the palm between the shoulder blades 2-3 times. If this does not help - approach the child from the back and clasp his hands in such a way that the "hands" in the lock are placed on the middle line of the abdomen. 2-3 times sharply and strongly push back and up. Repeat until the foreign body jumps out.
  2. If the baby is unconscious, lay his belly on the bent knee, lower the head lower. Strike 2-3 times with a palm between the shoulder blades.

Remember that if you hear wheezing in the throat of a child or wheezing in the bronchi of a child in the absence of a cold, immediately consult a doctor.
