Figures from marzipan - master class

Marzipan is a delicious almond-sugar paste, which is often used in confectionery, as a filling for sweets, rolls, cakes, etc. But you can also use marzipan for modeling, and making a figure from it is not very difficult, something working with it is similar to working with mastic .

Figures from marzipan with their own hands - master class

It's best to start working with marzipan with simple figures, because although it is a plastic and pliable material, it is still more difficult to work with it than with mastic. Therefore, we suggest to make an owl of marzipan according to fairly easy technology, where the main elements are made from flat details.

Let's start with the base, for this we roll a small smooth ball and give the shape of an oval with a flat bottom, then slightly flattened so that the front and back of the steel are also flat.

In the upper part, we form two peaks, the space between them is rolled with a rolling pin in order to obtain an even surface.

Next we work with flat elements, so we will roll out several colors of marzipan paste.

Cut out two flowers and several different colored circles of different sizes.

We connect them with each other using a brush and water.

We paste them on the base and hold for about a minute, so that they are well attached, it will be eyes.

From the yellow mastic we roll a small ball, use a toothpick to make grooves and form a beak.

It is also attached to the base between the eyes.

Now we need a few multicolored flat circles of the same size.

We glue them from the bottom lapped, alternating colors, first one strip, then the second, but so that it overlaps the previous circles a little.

It may be necessary to add a few more "feathers" on the chest. If you do not fit a whole series, we'll make it from the halves.

To make the wings cut out two more flowers from the main color and roll them a little with a rolling pin to give a slightly elongated shape

.

We cut off one third of each, trying to make the cut not flat, but slightly concave, we will use most of it.

Also, we moisten with water and attach on the sides at the level of the beginning of the "thoracic plumage".

To make the paws roll two balls, we flatten one side, and on the other we make two deep grooves, we attach them to the base.

Here such beauty turns out as a result!

Molding flowers from marzipan - master class

And a little lesson modeling from marzipan. It will be a very simple flower, you can have it colorful and bright.

We roll a small sausage and roll it into a strip. With the help of a scoop or toothpick, we make one edge bumpy, thin and stretch it.

And now we just roll into a roll, we form a petiole, we compact it well, and then we cut off the excess, if necessary. So quickly and without special tools make a carnation of marzipan.
