New Year's attributes - this is what, in fact, creates a festive mood. And what a New Year without a Christmas tree? And it is not necessary to buy a real New Year tree, because a Christmas tree made of feathers, made by own hands, can become an excellent decoration. In this master class we will tell you how to make a tree of feathers in just a few hours.
We will need:
- cone made of foam plastic;
- wooden stand;
- feathers;
- aerosol paint;
- glue;
- ornaments.
- Before you make a herringbone of feathers, you must prepare the foundation. To do this, polish the foam cone with paint. It is better to do this on the street to protect furniture from contamination. It is not necessary to paint the whole surface, it is enough to process the upper and lower parts.
- Proceed to glue the feathers on the cone. It is necessary to start from the lower tier. Of course, pick up feathers of the same length - this is difficult, so when gluing, align them on the bottom edge. In our example, the feathers are green, like the needles of a real Christmas tree. However, snow-white, golden or even multi-colored feathers will look no less spectacular in this craft. Or maybe you have an old and unusable boa? Just disassemble it for feathers!
- For the second and subsequent layers, choose curved feathers. And the size of the feathers used to create the layer must be smaller than those used in the previous one. Stick them in staggered order to avoid gaps.
- It remains to handle the stand from the tree, removing the bark from it. It is possible to make decorative patterns on the stand, imitating traces of bark beetles. Having established a herringbone from feathers on a support, decorate it with a star. The Christmas tree is ready!
