Tsymes - the recipe

Tsymes is a dish of Jewish cuisine. In the old days, cymes was considered a dessert. But time passed, and some corrections were made in the recipe for its preparation. Cymes with meat

Carrots, potatoes and zucchini are cleaned and cut into cubes. In a heat-resistant saucepan pour 20 ml of olive oil and fry the boiled beef, cut into pieces. Then take the meat, add more oil and fry prepared vegetables, salt, pepper, add the paprika to taste. Then add the meat. All this is poured with meat broth and wine, stewed on a small fire for about 2.5 hours, stirring occasionally until the beef becomes soft. Almost at the very end, we add washed and dried raisins, prunes and dried apricots. Stew for about 15 minutes. Tsimes is ready!

Cymes from beans

Beans preferably washed and soak hours for 10, and then boil until cooked. Carrots finely chop, add a little oil, salt and stew until soft. When the beans are ready, merge it through a colander, add carrots, prunes, honey and the remaining oil. Well, mix everything and stew on a small fire for about 10 minutes. Before serving the beans on the table, sprinkle it with toasted chopped nuts.

Carrot Cymes
