Menu with oxaluria, or oxalate stones in the kidneys, it is simply necessary to change, because incorrect nutrition will lead to worsening of the course of the disease and, possibly, to complications. Moreover, oxaluria in both children and adults requires an absolutely identical diet. Some products can be eliminated if there is an individual intolerance.
Diet with oxaluria: diet
It is permitted and recommended for consumption those products in which the content of oxalic acid is not more than 0.9 g / kg. These include:
- white cabbage, Brussels, cauliflower, pumpkin, melons, cucumbers, peas;
- pears, apricots, bananas, grapes;
- all kinds of groats;
- slightly alkaline mineral waters (twice a year for 2-4 weeks);
- white wheat bread;
- vegetable oil.
At the same time, dairy products, poultry, and fish are allowed, but it is recommended to use them only in the morning. In the absence of contraindications, observe the drinking regime - 2 liters of water per day.
Diet with oxaluria: a limited diet
Oxaluria does not require a very strict diet, but some foods have to be consumed limitedly, maximum 2-3 times a week. These include everything where oxalates from 0.9 to 1 g / kg:
- carrots, green beans, onions, tomatoes;
- chicory, strong tea;
- beef, chicken, jellied, liver, cod;
- all where a lot of vitamin C - currant, sour apples, radish, etc.
You do not need to give up this at all, but you should not eat regularly either.
Nutrition with oxaluria: list of exceptions
There are also products that are strictly prohibited from being included in the diet. In them, oxolates from 1 to 10 g / kg:
- products containing cocoa, including chocolate;
- sorrel, beets, parsley leaf, rhubarb, celery, spinach;
- any broth;
- complexes and supplements with vitamin C.
