Emoxipine - injections

Increased viscosity and the ability of blood to coagulate negatively affects the condition and function of large and small vessels, as well as the work of internal organs. To dilute the biological fluid and inhibit the formation of thrombi, an angioprotector called Emoxipin is prescribed. The injections of this universal drug have been widely used in surgical, neurological, endocrinological and ophthalmic practice.

Intravenous and intramuscular injection of Emoxipin injections

The described ways of using a 3% solution are prescribed for such conditions and diseases:

In cardiology, first (5-15 days), intravenous administration of Emoxipin is carried out by means of infusions. To compose a dropper, 10 ml of the drug is mixed with saline or dextrose, glucose in a standard 200 ml bottle. The frequency of infusions is 1-3 times a day.

After this course, treatment with intramuscular injections of 3% medicament 2-3 times every 24 hours for 3-5 ml is necessary. Therapy is carried out from 10 days to 1 month.

In the treatment in the neurological and neurosurgical department, only intravenous administration is carried out in the same dosages as previously indicated. The duration of the course is 10-12 days. If there was a hemorrhagic stroke, intraarterial bolus injections are recommended. Before the administration of 5-10 ml of Emoksipin mixed with 10 ml of saline. After relieving the exacerbation (5-10 days), therapy lasts up to 28-30 days. In this case, drip intravenous injection of 4-20 ml of the drug in a complex with 200 ml of saline.

For patients with surgery, as well as patients with pancreatitis, the use of emoksipina for droppers (5 ml of medicament per 200 ml of isotonic fluid) is recommended twice a day. With necrotizing forms of pathologies, 5-10 ml of the drug, mixed with 100 ml of saline in the celiac trunk, is administered.

Emoxipine as eye injections

In ophthalmology, the drug in question is prescribed for complex therapy and prevention of the following diseases and conditions:

Often when reading the instructions to the medicine it is not entirely clear what part of the eye the injections of Emoxipine do:

  1. Subconjunctival. Injection of a 1% solution is performed by inserting a needle under the conjunctiva, into the region of transitional folds of mucous membranes, 0.2-0.5 ml.
  2. Parabulbarno. Puncture is carried out through the skin of the lower eyelid to a depth of about 1 cm, into the space near the eyeball. Dosage - 0.5-1 ml.
  3. Retrobulbarno. The injection is made into the inner fold of the lower eyelid, through the mucous membrane to a depth of 1.5 cm. The needle is located at an angle towards the middle of the eye, 0.5-1 ml of the solution is injected.

Injections are performed daily or every 48 hours, for 10-30 days.

In rare cases, injections of Emoxipin are prescribed in the eyes and the temple at the same time. However, this practice of treating or preventing ophthalmic diseases has been severely criticized by specialists due to the weak effectiveness of this method, inexpediency of its application. In addition, there is a high risk of nerve damage when injecting into the temple.
