Star on a Christmas tree from felt - a master class

List of required materials:

Performance:

  1. The first thing we need to do is to draw a pattern of our star on a piece of paper.
  2. We transfer our pattern to the felt, after which the felt must be folded twice, and, thus, cut out two details of the asterisk.
  3. We find the middle of our asterisk, let's pass a needle with a red thread through it, put on a string of one sequin, then string one white bead onto the thread and pass the needle through the middle of the sequin, thus bringing the needle to the bottom of the star's part.
  4. Thread a red mulina with a seam back needle in two strands sew four stitches from the center of the star to its top, then diagonally, beginning with the last stitch, we make two more stitches to the right and to the left.
  5. The same thing we do, sewing stitches to the bottom of the star, then left and right from the center of the star to its edges.
  6. In order for the embroidered ornament to resemble a snowflake, we need to embroider four more twigs, moving diagonally from the center of the star in each direction. It should look like this.
  7. Now between each branch of the snowflake with the back of the needle, stitch two stitches connected together by a small house, and we sew sequins with white beads to the tops of these "houses" in the same way as we sewed the pailleto to the middle of the star.
  8. In each outer corner of the star we embroider a red bead with an ornament resembling a branch of a snowflake embroidered with threads of a mulina.
  9. In the formed diamonds, in an interval of one, between the paillettes of metallized threads of the silvery mulina, we embroider snowflakes in two strings, we sew the red seed beads to the center of the snowflakes.
  10. Between the blades of red beads in the outer corners of the star, we sew sequins with white beads in the manner described above. Then, on each side of the blades, with metallized silver threads, we make two small stitches in two strands, which are joined together by a house.
  11. In the end, it should look like this.
  12. Now we sew two parts of the star along the edges with a suture seam with threads of red mulina in two threads, filling the star with a synthepon.
  13. We made such a charming star on the tree with our own hands.

Such an asterisk can be used as a Christmas tree toy, attaching a rope to it, or a satin ribbon, so that it would be convenient to hang it on the tree. Also, such a star can be used as the top on the tree, or as a magnet on the refrigerator, pasting to the back of the star a piece of magnetic tape.
