The more athletes train, the more muscle they want to build, the more saturated amino acids must be their diet. For faster assimilation athletes prefer to take amino acids in free form. Such drugs do not require additional energy consumption of the body. For example, the amino acid from meat is split and enters the bloodstream within 2 hours after ingestion, while the amino acid in the liquid form is absorbed after 15 minutes.

When is it better to drink amino acids? Immediately after active training, the body begins to vigorously store glucose, saturating with amino acids, it takes about 60 minutes. Dietitians call this period a "protein-carbohydrate window". Therefore, taking an amino acid during exercise is less effective than taking it right after physical exercises. To achieve maximum effect, it is recommended to take vitamin B6 simultaneously with amino acids, which promotes the speedy synthesis of protein.
