In the south-west of Budva, on the shores of the Adriatic Sea, lies the pebbly and sandy beach of Mogren, divided by a rock into two sections - Mogren I and Mogren II. It is considered the most romantic beach of the city and one of the main attractions of this part of Montenegro .
Features of the beach Mogren
This city facility is located in close proximity to the old town of Budva , surrounded by layered rocks, ancient buildings and amazing landscapes. The name Mogren beach was given in honor of the Spanish traveler Magrini, who died during a shipwreck off the coast of Montenegro. Despite the fact that the beach strip is divided into two sections, it will not be difficult to switch from one to another. Especially for this purpose, a passage was made straight through the rock. This makes Mogren even more unique and mysterious.
Infrastructure of Mogren beach
This picturesque and cozy beach is not very large in length - only 340 m. The length of one plot is 200 m. It is less crowded, so you can find a place even in the midst of the swimming season. The second section of Mogren beach, the photo of which is presented below, on the contrary, is known throughout Budva. In the summer, it is quite difficult to find a free deckchair or umbrella. Anyway, to normally relax on any site, it's better to take a place in the morning.
The Mogren beach has a well-developed resort infrastructure, which includes:

- cabins for changing clothes;
- comfortable sun loungers and umbrellas;
- massage room,
- cozy cafe,
- toilets.
Fans of outdoor activities can do wakeboarding, parasailing or ride a jet ski and catamaran.
The main advantage of Mogren beach is crystal clear water and picturesque nature. The beach here is mostly sand and pebble, descent to the water is gentle. Adults here can swim and dive, but children should stay on shore, as the depth in local waters increases quite quickly. Due to the high quality of water and the excellent work of rescuers, Mogren beach has repeatedly received the prestigious Montenegrin award - the Blue Flag.
Near the beach there are many hotels with a view of the coast. One of the popular hotels in Budva is the hotel Mogren, located 370 m from the beach.
To visit this Buddhist landmark is not only for beach lovers. There are many interesting places in which you can make memorable photos. This is the wooden path between the two parts of the beach, and the layered rocks that literally hang overhead, and the sculpture of the girl, which became the symbol of the Mogren beach.
How to get to Mogren?
The beach is located on the south-eastern coast of Montenegro. Looking at the map, you can see that the beach Mogren is located 2 km from the center of Budva . You can reach it by foot or by car. In the first case, if you walk along the street Filipa Kovacevica, then the road will take 30 minutes. By car it is better to move along the route number 2 via Obilaznica. Under normal road conditions, it is possible to reach Mogren 5 minutes.
