Antenatal fetal protection

Human health is laid in the prenatal period and at this time it is very important to protect the future mother from all sorts of negative influences from the outside. The task of doctors is to examine and accompany the pregnant woman as much as possible throughout the entire period of bearing the baby.

What is antenatal fetal protection?

Antenatal fetal protection includes many methods and methods of influencing fetal development in utero. The most dangerous period, when the probability of various embryonic developmental defects is very high, is the time from conception to 12 weeks inclusive.

The most important periods in the first trimester are the time of implantation (1 week) and the appearance of the placenta (placenta), at 7-9 weeks. All women planning to become a mother should know that during these periods, the use of medicines, exposure during radiography, alcohol and severe stress, can have an irreparable effect on the baby.

The task of medical antenatal prophylaxis, if possible, is to prevent intrauterine pathology and fetal death. To do this, various diagnostic measures and all kinds of tests for bacterial and viral infections that can harm a child are carried out.

Treatment-prophylactic and hygienic measures that contribute to optimal conditions for the birth of a healthy pregnancy are the main goal of antenatal fetal protection. A woman is obliged to lead a healthy lifestyle, with adequate nutrition, the use of vitamins, in particular folic acid, enough to rest and not perform heavy physical work. All these simple measures together give a good result if there is no inherent genetic pathology.

But not only physicians should observe the pregnant woman from the very earliest time and make adjustments to her regime, but the state must ensure that the woman can be transferred to easy work, reducing the work day and sanatorium-preventive treatment if necessary.
