To make this salad, peel the potatoes and carrots first and cook them, adding half the onion, bay leaf and a little salt with pepper to the water. After cooking vegetables, about 300 ml of broth pour into a mug and pour gelatin into it for swelling. Beetroot in a separate saucepan. Vegetables and eggs, grate on a large grater. When the gelatin swells, pour ¼ broth with another container, and in the remaining broth add mayonnaise and stir well. Add evenly the broth with mayonnaise in all the ingredients except finely chopped herring. Punch the parsley and place on the bottom of a specially prepared form. Then take turns laying the layers, giving each to freeze for about 45 minutes in the refrigerator - half a beet, half a potato, carrots, eggs. Lay out the herring and fill it with the remaining broth with gelatin. This layer should stand for about an hour and a half, so it's better to freeze. The last lay out the remains of potatoes and beets. Leave the salad overnight in the fridge.

Vegetarian "Herring under the fur coat"

Even the most delicious "Herring under a fur coat" may not appeal to everyone. After all, not all people like fish. In such cases, there is a vegetarian salad.
