Pear - useful properties

The most large-scale production of pears in the world is established in China, and this is not because "our happiness is made in Hong Kong", but simply because the pear, as it turned out, is a fruit of Chinese origin. In ancient China, a pear tree was even considered a symbol of long-livers, because this plant is known for living very long and very unpretentious.

Of course, the pear has many useful properties. Moreover, after learning about them, you will even be surprised, because most of us, frankly, underestimated this fruit.

Composition

The first useful property of a pear for a person we immediately associate with the composition. In the pear a lot of sugar, however, it contains it less than the average apple. And this sugar is very useful. Basically, the pear contains fructose, not sucrose, and as is known, the pancreas does not strain with the release of insulin to assimilate fructose.

In addition to sugar, the pear contains also vitamins :

Also in the composition there are also useful mineral salts of iron, manganese, iodine, cobalt, copper, potassium, molybdenum, etc.

The pear is very fibrous and largely consists of fiber, which predetermines its usefulness for our gastrointestinal tract. And the content of folic acid, it even outstrips the black currant.

Properties

Useful properties of pears work in the same way in fresh fruits and in dried fruits. So, first of all, due to tannins in the composition, the pear has a property to strengthen. In addition, it is useful for the lungs, the fetus has an expectorant effect, and as a diuretic, but this is due to the high content of potassium.

As an excellent source of fiber, the fruit should be eaten on an empty stomach (at least half an hour after and half an hour before meals), and wash down with water.

Also in the composition of such typical for our climate fruit, as a pear, there is also a natural antibiotic - arbutin. Due to its content, the pear, even in the works of the most ancient healers, was called "the fruit for the treatment of lung diseases." An expectorant effect has already been mentioned, but besides it there is also a restorative, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect.

Pears are also very useful for the heart and blood vessels, and again, thanks to potassium. The potassium-sodium balance is responsible for the nutrition of the heart muscle, so the pear is able to normalize the equilibrium that has been shaken from excessive salt intake.

Dieting

Pears should be used for weight loss. Firstly, because they are low-calorie - only 42 kcal per 100 g. Secondly, pears due to high content of fiber last longer to digest, and, accordingly, longer saturate.

Well, and, thirdly, the use of pears for weight loss is reflected in the work of the stomach. The more tart and sour the variety you have chosen, the more active the pear influences the gastrointestinal tract. With disorders of the intestine, it strengthens, with cholecystitis, gastritis, liver diseases - relieve pain, heartburn, heaviness in the abdomen and discomfort. To do this, you must eat only two fruits in the morning. True, before breakfast, pears should drink a glass of water, but in no case, do not eat them on an empty stomach.

Choose the most useful pear

The pear is more aromatic, softer, not more correct, so it is more useful. Soft, ripe fruit is fully saturated with all the useful substances with which the pear can potentially be gathered from the sun, earth and water.

Pears, like many other fruits , ripen at home well, especially if they are put on a sunny window sill. So if you do not have a choice, buy a hard and crunchy rind from the ripeness and "ripen" it yourself.

On the fruits there should be no damage, putrefactive processes - these may be traces of the fact that the fruit is ripe (which is positive), but on the other hand, it shows difficulties in the course of distribution.
