Tabasco sauce

This hot classic American sauce is divided into 5 types, but the main, classic, unlike others, is a three-month exposure in barrels of wood. Fermentation of this kind helps to achieve a much finer taste of the product, to develop sourness and sharpen the spice.

The composition of the Tabasco sauce is not disclosed, but it is known that it consists of cayenne pepper, salt and vinegar. Knowing this, home cooks from all over the world rushed to adapt the recipe for cooking in a typical kitchen. We will describe some of these recipes later.

Classic recipe of Tabasco sauce

To prepare the Tabasco sauce with your own hands, it's enough to arm yourself with a powerful blender and put all the listed ingredients in its bowl. Note that if you want to get a not too sharp sauce, then before grinding, you can extract the seeds from the peppers. Whisk all ingredients of the sauce together until a mass of puree consistency is obtained. Pour the sauce over clean jars and leave in the heat for about a week. During this time the sauce will start to wander, therefore it will be necessary to give an outlet to the formed gas. To do this, at least once a day, open the lid on the banks. After a while, the finished sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three months.

Recipe for Tabasco sauce at home

For lovers of hot sauce with a slightly richer taste, we suggest realizing this variation of the sauce with garlic and horseradish in the composition. This recipe belongs to the classic recipes of production in 1947.

Mix the water together with the vinegar and place the mixture over medium heat. Allow the mixture to reach the boil, put a clove of garlic, cayenne pepper and grated horseradish. Leave everything to cook until garlic and horseradish is softened, and then remove the mixture from the fire, tilt it and grate it well. Return the sauce back to the plate, add sugar and salt, and then, after re-boiling, pour over the clean jars. It is better to store the ready-made Tabasco in the refrigerator.

Spicy sauce of Tabasco

The maximum acuity can be achieved by reducing the amount of liquid in the recipe, so this recipe is intended for fans of extreme acuity.

Beforehand, you can remove seeds from peppers or leave them whole. Put the peppers in the vinegar together with the cloves of garlic and cook until softened. When the peppers are ready, wipe everything through a sieve, and season the resulting puree and dilute it to a consistency of fatty cream with an additional amount of vinegar, if necessary.

For the purpose of long-term storage, the sauce is further boiled and bottled in sterile bottles.

After the onion has browned, pour a mixture of water and vinegar into the saucepan, then bring it to a boil and leave it for 20 minutes. Preparation of the Tabasco sauce is almost complete. Allow the mixture to cool to a warm state, then wipe it through a sieve.
