Pears baked in the oven

Pears are suitable not only for eating in raw form or adding to pastries, but also for the preparation of simple but refined desserts, for example pears baked in the oven.

Baked pears in the oven - recipe

Depending on the selected pear variety, you can vary the taste of the selected dessert at your own discretion, making it more sweet or vice versa - sourish. In this case, we decided to play on the contrast of sweet and soft pears with cranberry berries and crispy nuts.

Ingredients:

Preparation

The preparation of pears is reduced to a pair of simple operations: from the halves of the fruit, a part of the core is extracted with a teaspoon. The base of each of the halves is slightly pruned so that the pears do not lose their stability on the baking tray. Fill each of the pear cavities with a mixture of nuts with cranberries, and then pour everything honey.

Bake pears at 180 degrees for half an hour, and then serve simply or with a portion of yogurt.

Pears in puff pastry, baked in the oven

To diversify the texture and taste of ordinary baked pears, you can use pieces of puff pastry. For the following recipe, both yeast and non-yeast versions are suitable.

Ingredients:

Preparation

In order for the pears to be baked simultaneously with the dough, they will need to be pre-brewed. Syrup, in which the fruits will be prepared, is elementary simply by mixing water, honey and sugar. When the mixture boils, cinnamon and cloves are put to it, squeezed out half of the lemon juice and pears are laid, previously cutting out the core from the latter.

The dough is cut into strips and wrapped around each of them around the whole fruit, fixing the ends with a drop of water. Pears, baked in the oven entirely, will be prepared at 200 degrees 15-20 minutes.

How correctly to bake pears in an oven without sugar?

If you do not want to use sugar in the recipe, you can safely replace it with honey, agave syrup, or do not use it at all. In the latter case, you will need to use soft and sweet pears.

Ingredients:

Preparation

Halves of pears can be cleaned of seeds, and you can leave whole. Spread the fruits on a baking sheet and pour a mixture of wine with water, spices and honey. Place the pears in a preheated oven for 180 minutes for 40 minutes. Baked pears are best served with contrasting texture or temperature additions, such as granola, nuts or ice cream and yogurt.

Pears baked in the oven with honey and cottage cheese

Pears fit well with a variety of fillers, among the latter may be fresh cottage cheese, ricotta, egg yogurt or sour cream whipped with eggs. We decided to stop on the first option, mixing a small amount of cottage cheese with honey and sprinkling the finished dessert with crumb of crispy shortbread cookies.

Wash the washed pears in half and remove the core with the seeds from each of the halves. Fill the hollow pears with a mixture of cottage cheese and a half of honey.
