Famous coconut bars in milk chocolate have long conquered the hearts of inveterate sweethearts and do not give up their positions, despite the variety of new delicacies that appear every hour on the market. Needless to say, the classic combination of sweet coconut filling with a shell of chocolate has been played out even in home desserts. One of these - the bounty "Bounty" - we decided to devote this material.
Cake "Bounty" - recipe
Let's start with an unusual cake, which is a sequence of layers of coconut meringue and chocolate cream. This version of the "Bounty" in the supermarket can not be found.
Ingredients:
For coconut meringue:
- egg whites - 9 pcs .;
- sugar - 310 g;
- coconut shaving - 210 g;
- a pinch of salt.
For cream:
- egg yolks - 11 pcs .;
- granulated sugar - 115 g;
- dark chocolate - 310 g;
- butter - 310 g;
- milk - 55 ml.
Preparation
Start with making meringue. Cover the baking sheet with parchment and oil the paper. Whisk the egg whites until stable peaks are formed, pour a pinch of salt to them. When the peaks are formed, do not stop the mixer's stroke, but only slightly reduce its speed and start sprinkling sugar. Give the meringue to become shiny, then gently mix it with the coconut chips. Distribute the mass on the sheet of parchment as evenly as possible.
Merengu should be dried at not too high a temperature, about 130-150 degrees. After the first half hour of drying, check the meringue layer and if it is dry - remove the baking sheet from the oven. After cooling, divide the merengue layer into three.
Now to the cream. Whisk egg yolks with sugar and place them on a water bath. With constant stirring, wait until the mixture has a creamy consistency, add oil, milk and chocolate to it. After melting and mixing all the ingredients together, start layering them out into the mold. Let the cake cool before cutting.
Recipe for coconut cake "Bounty" at home
This Bounty cake also has an unusual structure. It is based on a chocolate biscuit, on top of which there is a pudding mass with coconut chips. The finished cake is covered with chocolate icing and can be served immediately.
Ingredients:
For biscuit:
- eggs - 5 pcs .;
- sugar - 115 ml;
- flour - 115 g;
- cocoa - 45 ml;
- baking powder - 5 g.
For coconut pudding:
- milk - 715 ml;
- sugar - 85 g;
- dry pudding - 1 packet;
- butter - 210 g;
- coconut shavings - 230 g.
For glaze:
- black chocolate - 175 g;
- butter - 35 g.
Preparation
Before you make a cake "Bounty", you will need to do a biscuit, for which egg whites are beaten to peaks. Separately whisk and yolks, they pre-poured sugar, and then add cocoa and baking powder. Yolks are mixed with protein foam and carefully pour flour to them, constantly and smoothly mixing. Pour the dough into a parchment covered baking sheet and send to the oven at 180 for half an hour.
2/3 of milk pour into the saucepan and start to gently warm up with sugar and oil. When the pieces of butter completely disperse, pour the powdered sugar. In the remaining cold milk, dilute the contents of the dry pudding and add everything to the coconut mass.
Place the biscuit base into the mold and spread the coconut pudding over. Let the puddle freeze, then cover everything with chocolate icing.
Chocolate cake "Bounty" without baking - recipe
Ingredients:
For the basis:
- nuts - 1 item;
- dates - 8 pcs .;
- cocoa - 45 g;
- water 35 ml.
For filling:
- Cashew (soaked) - 2 items;
- coconut shaving - 1 item;
- coconut oil - 165 g;
- honey - 115 ml;
- water - 65 ml.
Preparation
Blender whisk until the creamy consistency of the ingredients of the base and filling. Lay the base in the mold, smooth, cover with the filling and leave until completely hardened.
